Back
Early 20th century Lilian Sarough, even wear, wool on cotton 277 x 377 Cm. 12.5 feet x 9.2 feet. Natural colors.
Nice vintage look, great salmon color in the centre medaillon.
And a beautiful acanthus ornament in the corners on the pale white ground.
The quality is recognizable attending the space between the ornaments; good ones have
space that allows rest.
Minor ones suffer from 'horror vacui', too busy , often seen on Heriz carpets from the 50-ies.
This one still has serenity.
